Welcome to Anthea Cooke, Health and Wellbeing Consultancy. I am proud to have worked in the health and wellbeing field for many years. I am an internationally recognised provider of Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessment (MWIA) and Health Impact Assessment (HIA). My most recent achievement, working with colleagues, was to develop and deliver MWIA as a tool to identify and better understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on mental wellbeing of people working 'remotely', of staff delivering frontline services and on communities. This has enabled better targeting of support to help build resilience and reduce feelings of isolation. In addition, I offer a range of consultancy public health related knowledge, skills, and experience. I am currently working and volunteering on two exciting projects:
- The Greening Campaign which is a structured process, guiding communities mainly in Hampshire to act on Climate Change and Biodiversity. I lead on developing and supporting the Health Impacts 'Pillar.'
- I am volunteering time and skills as a Trustee of the Charity 'The Green Hub Project for Teens' serving Surrey & Hampshire, UK. We support young people (11-18) facing social, emotional and mental health challenges, along with their families and carers. My specific role is leading the evaluation programme.

Anthea is nationally and internationally recognised as a lead provider of Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessment (MWIA). MWIA is an evidence based tool that guides commissioners, managers and Human Resources departments about the potential impacts on mental wellbeing on service recipients, communities or staff of a proposed or actual intervention, or an 'event' such as the current pandemic. This work leads, importantly, to making a set of realistic recommendations to promote and protect mental wellbeing.
The most recent application of MWIA is as a tool in informing Covid-19 Recovery Planning. This led to delivering (in collaboration with other colleagues) a Webinar organised by Public Health England to share case studies, lessons learned and to promote the use of MWIA in this context.
